Faustus' Noteworthy Video Game Boxart Collection

In response to an invitation by Neg in his magnificent Noteworthy Video Game Boxart Collection, I offer my selections. But because only four of the games that I'd choose to include in such a Top 10 actually have reviews that can be linked to, I've chosen instead to give due credit to the work of one celebrated Japanese development studio. It's just three games (so a Trilogy as opposed to a Collection), all of which are works of genuine art in themselves and for which a convenient review already exists. I'm referring to the games of Team Ico.

ArtMinds 1:12 Scale Coffee Cup w/Spoon ()

The spoon and cup are affixed to the saucer.

We’re back on this train? Ohhhhh, yes we are~ It would seem that Sparrow Innovations have rebranded themselves into ArtMinds since the last time I partook of their wares. That’s fine; they can still be found at the very same big-box arts and crafts retailer that’s generously peppered across the United States. I’m honestly not sure why the piece pictured here has a spoon that looks like it was absconded with while the metalsmith was taking a momentary break. Mine has a perfectly curved row of tiny spheres, akin to a real spoon, running up and around the length of its handle. The porcelain is delightfully smooth, save for the ring propping it up, from beneath. I refuse to deduct for painstaking realism, but know that you shouldn’t drag it around, if the surface you’re placing it on is scratch-able. The coffee itself is resin and it’s incredibly convincing.

Unquestionably recommended, especially if you need an omnibus representation for the DenLiner crew.
