DX Chalice Rouzer (2004)

Chalice’s belt is different than the other Riders’ in Blade for reasons that are partial spoilers. His belt is actually his Rouzer, or card scanner. You can do all of his combos, assuming of course that you have the cards necessary, because they certainly aren’t all included here. Because you can find the barcodes and print them yourself, however, I won’t penalize it for that. It can be removed from the belt itself and placed into the Chalice Arrow for attack purposes. A card holder is included and it’s nicely sculpted if not particularly useful to most collectors. Rouzing cards is a very kinetic action and I’m infinitely glad Chalice received such a beautiful and functional belt.

Comparisons of the various versions can be found below the cut.

5 Real Changes out of 5

Having owned the Bandai Asia release I know it’s the same as the Japanese original. Based on having had the Korean Blade Buckle, I imagine that version of Chalice's belt is equally as acceptable assuming you’re fine with the Korean text on the cards. The Japanese text on the original cards isn’t screen accurate, anyway.

All regular rouzers have two modes:
  • A - Rouze to your heart's content
  • B - Rouze using a limited number of points
    • These can be restored by rouzing face cards
Chalice's rouzer uses four lights to denote the amount of points remaining in Mode B instead of a number readout like the others.

The real cards included with this piece are:

  • Heart Ace - Change Mantis
  • Heart 2 - Spirit
  • Heart 3 - Chop Head
  • Heart 6 - Tornado Hawk
  • Heart 7 - Bio Plant
  • Heart 9 - Recover Camel
I'm going to assume you're able to lift and manipulate images because the only completely accurate set of barcodes I have is in this pdf. The webpage it comes from no longer exists, so that's the best I can do.
